TEA TIME!
You guys know that I do support local brands and I do post about them here on the blog. But sometimes brands just don't have good people and that's the main reason why I cut ties with a very infamous brand. I'll give you a clue, known by two letters, both consonants and can be seen in stores... You'll never see me use their products again.

Anyway, let's talk about Butterfly Kisses Cosmetics.

They emailed me asking if I could write about their product and I said yes. They were starting out, their products look good, I was interested and I didn't even ask them to pay me because I was interested enough in them. I was a full time blogger last year and my stats were really high. The problem was I was just so busy wedding planning then and I couldn't post immediately about their product... and then they unfollowed me and dissed me. Lol. (Just checked, I guess I'm not blocked now?)

I'm all about supporting brands but when you dis people just because they weren't able to post it right then and there, it's kinda disappointing. Sometimes it's not the brand... sometimes it's really the people who handle them.

I'm sorry if I wasn't able to post it immediately. I usually save that for brands who pay me -- they give a schedule you know? Also, it's in my disclaimer page that sending me a product doesn't guarantee a feature.

But since I said yes, I want to keep my promise... so here we go... an unbiased review...

Butterfly Kisses Cosmetics Soft Creamy Matte Lip Review
I thought they were a pretty cute brand and photos look on point. Packaging looks exactly like the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks. Not sure if they're trying to copy them, but it also comes with a doe-foot applicator and a box which most lipsticks at this price point don't have. One thing though, I don't like how the shade names are just sticked under the tube. It easily falls out and I don't even remember what shade it is that I'm using. It would be nice to have it printed on the tube.

Formula-wise, it feels pretty oily when applied, but I guess that's the ingredient that tries to lock moisture on your lips because it does dry to a very matte finish... A little velvety, a little powdery, it doesn't transfer too much on cups and glasses. The shades I had were pretty pigmented too and I have to say that the color does stay on after after a meal.

What I don't like though is after having a heavy meal, it isn't lightweight as when I first applied it. My lips do start to get dry and I don't find it to be perfect-on-the-go at all. It feels heavy when I layer the color on, so I prefer to remove it completely before re-application. Removing the color with tissue would include a whole lot of tugging, so you do have to bring a makeup remover wipe with you.

It's a good liquid lipstick, but so is the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink and the Detail Makeover Matte in Detail. They're more affordable too.

This product retails for PHP 330 online and I do believe they have a store in Glorietta.
