Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream Review

Banila Co CC Cream Review

For the last three months, I have been loving the Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream. Having oily-combination skin, matte foundations have been a mainstay in my makeup routine. But as I've gone older (yes, I'm in my mid to late 20s by now), I realized that moisturizing products aren't really "bad" for your skin.

Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream Review
I've had this Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream for a while now. I was so into matte foundations, matte lipsticks, matte blushes, basically matte everything because I thought that was the only way to go. I wanted every product to be longlasting because I hated retouching my makeup.

But now that I'm basically... ehem, ehem, aging (sad to say, but true) I knew that I needed to change my routines and add more skin care items and more moisturizing products whether it be on my lips or on my bases. And that is where this baby comes in. As I've mentioned over and over again, I have really dry under eyes. I've always loved the QUICK FX Eye Lift Cream, but there are days where it needs a little push. I often layer this CC cream over it, and sometimes I use this alone under my eyes as a moisturizer, a primer, and yes, as a concealer.

As you can see on the swatch above, the Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream comes in white (only white. There are no other shades) and later on blends to your natural skin tone. It's very moisturizing on skin and the brightening claims are true. I've stopped using a concealer for my eye bags because I've switched to this CC cream. Besides, I find that in this weather, concealers just cake up on my skin. Although it doesn't provide much coverage for nights where I stayed up late because I was playing tower defense on my phone, it still brightens up my eyes on an everyday-wear basis.

Again, sad to say that this product has very, very low coverage and no oil control at all. When used alone, I find my skin oiling up after two to three hours in our humidity. On an everyday basis, I apply this under my eyes and cheeks, and then I'd be using L'Oreal Infallible for my T-zone and other areas. On weekends, I mix equal parts of this CC cream and any of my foundations that have oil control properties for a dewier finish. It's really up to you.

After using this for three months, I definitely understood why this is a multi-awarded product and much coveted about CC cream. I love the packaging and the pump. I love how I can skip highlighters because this product truly gives you a natural dewy and radiant finish. I love how I can easily mix this with other foundations to have more oil control and coverage, but still smoothly applies and blends out on my skin. And I truly appreciate the SPF 30 PA++ it contains since I can skip adding an extra product. It works as my makeup base, my eye primer, and also my sunscreen. Love, love the moisture it gives my under eyes and I would definitely purchase again. This is a product I'd bring on one of my trips abroad and something I would use during the colder months.

This retails for PHP 1,215 and is available at Glorietta 4, Robinsons Place Manila, SM North Edsa, SM Mall of Asia, Landmark, and BeautyMNL.

And hey, don't forget to watch out for their sales okay?
