Esfolio Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Foam Review
This product reminds me so much of my previous holy grail cleanser a.k.a the Ponds Oil Control facial wash. If you're pretty old like me, you might remember it as the blue bottle that got discontinued... or probably got pulled out because they released their acne line.

So anyway, after that product got discontinued, I have been on the look out for a facial wash that would be compatible with my acne-prone and sensitive skin. For three years, I have switched from brand to brand whether it be drugstore or high-end just to find something that would be "hiyang" on my skin. Also, for three years, I have been continuously battling acne and blemishes, and after thousands of pesos, I finally found a new holy grail cleanser... the Esfolio Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Foam.

I've tried other Korean facial cleansers before, ones with rice, ones for acne, ones with snail extracts -- I told you guys I tried a lot during the three years of searching! Haha. I don't know what it is with this Esfolio Aloe Vera cleanser, but it really reminded me of my previous HG cleanser.

Packaging wise, it comes in a big squeeze-tube bottle which is really sturdy. I once dropped it from the second floor of our house, and I was really expecting a cracked lid, but there's none... so, yey! As for the product itself, it smells very clean and relaxing. The cleansing foam is very smooth, there's no beads or anything for exfoliating, and it really, really, really lathers up quickly. You don't need a lot of product to wash your whole face. I use it twice a day, morning and night, and whenever I use it, I really notice how matte my face becomes after... like the cleansing foam just sucked all the oil away from my face. It also seems that aloe vera really does have a soothing effect on my acne.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Esfolio Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Foam. I finally found something "hiyang" for my acne-prone and sensitive skin. I didn't get any breakouts while using this product nor any allergic reactions. I just really found this very soothing and moisturizing on skin. I would suggest this for all types of skin whether it be sensitive, dry, oily or combination.

Just my two cents for people struggling with acne: Please don't expect this product to do all the work for your breakouts. My skin has been fairly good to me and I only get massive breakouts when it's near "that time of the month." I really do believe that this product calms and soothes my acne, but I'm still using benzoyl peroxide cream to dry them up faster. One thing I learned the hard way is that sometimes, it's just better to let your skin heal by using mild products than forcing it with harsh ones -- and that's why I don't use tea tree oil. Lol.

Welcome to my permanent holy grail list Esfolio Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Foam!
