Mall of Korea Opening

Mall of Korea Philippines

Have you ever wondered what it's like to shop in Korea?
Well, guess what? Just last week, I attended the soft opening of Mall of Korea located at the 2nd floor Metrowalk Complex in Ortigas Pasig City, and they gave me my very own Korean shopping experience.

Mall of Korea is a fashion retail hub brought here by Nina Lee, and it has more than 60 shops in Korea. They offer stylish clothes, cosmetics, accessories, and other fabulously interesting finds.

Sad to say I lost some of the photos I took, anyway, let me show you what quirks they have plus clothes that I tried on.

The first few things that caught my attention was their BAGS!

They might look like they're made for kids, but really, they're for women my age! Haha. I mean, they're super girly and fun... I'm 25, but seriously, I'd use these bags going out. I mean who could resist a bag with a lipstick design on it??? Almost all of the bags had chain slings and they look super stylish. I mostly noticed these bags paired with a cocktail dress or a plain vest.

Second thing I noticed were textures. Yes, they had a lot of prints on their clothes from stripes, texts, to polkadots, but what caught my eye was the textures. I lost some of the photos, but this skirt is a good example. Some of them are even "ternos" with lace but they really look cool on the eyes. Like even if you're wearing a plain pastel colored shirt and shorts, textures really make a difference and it makes you stand out.

They also had children's clothing with designs from Disney etc. The materials were really, really soft and if I remember correctly, a shirt + short pair was like PHP 799.

And YAS... they do have clothes for men. T-shirts, long sleeves, polos, pants, and ties, etc. I think the fit looks really good. They have designs like dog paws and batman, and from plain-colored shirts to stripes, all the way to Marvel and the DC Universe.

They also had an accessories stall and I decided to get myself some stud earrings :)

Their fitting room is medium-sized but I'd prefer if it had a chair inside, so I can lay my bag and clothes on it.

It was difficult deciding what clothes to pick. Haha. There were just so many! :) I did bring home this little jumper plus a white off shoulder (picture below) and a plain black skirt.

I'll just post them on Instagram once I find someone who'd take my OOTD. Lol!

And I'm done shopping for the day!! I'm quite happy with the clothes and accessories that I brought home. The pricing was affordable as there were items as low as PHP 99. The white off shoulder I bought was PHP 399 and the jumper I got was like PHP 599 if memory serves me right.

The "Korean" shopping experience was also good. I can't believe that this was just the 2nd floor of Metrowalk because it felt so huge. This isn't your typical F21 crowded store with clothes everywhere. The place felt big, very spacious, like you won't really bump to everyone like in our department stores here in the metro. It actually felt relaxing.

One thing I did not remember seeing were shoes. I guess they're just not yet done unpacking everything out of boxes. They also had their beauty and makeup section inside, but they haven't received their permit yet. They did assure me that the brands they're going to carry would be Etude House, Tony Moly, and other Korean brands not yet here in the country! They also told us that there was going to be a spa, a salon, a coffee shop and so much more. They're still renovating a few areas, and I can't wait to see what it would look like when everything's finished. A coffee shop or a spa would definitely be a good place to go to when you're exhausted shopping.

Ohh, have I mentioned that you can have your own Korean shopping experience at Mall of Korea? We're giving away a PHP 1,500 shopping spree to one lucky winner.
