Clozette's Tea Time with Shu Uemura

This was an afternoon of makeup tips, brow styling, and ombre lips with Shu Uemura’s internationally accredited makeup artist, Patrick Alcober. It was held at Shu Uemura in Rockwell last January. I know... this post doesn't do justice being 3 months late. I believe I shared the news with you guys, but I just realized I haven't shared what were the happenings at the event.

Who knew tea time could be so yummy? The treats not only looked great, they were very tasty too :)

As usual, I'm late. Not news at all. I guess that's what happens if you're a Southie living in Laguna like me. Haha. When I arrived there, they were already working on the brows. I didn't see the face basics :( Here's Patrick Alcober doing his magic with le brows. It's super funny because he looked at all of us and said our brow game was strong. He didn't expect that everyone of us would consider brows very important, so he's quite happy that we all aced our kilay game that day.

This shuMaster also demonstrated how to create an ombre lip look using Rouge Unlimited lipsticks. Basically deeper colors in the middle and lighter ones on the outer lips. I haven't actually tried doing ombre lips with lipsticks -- lip tints yes. I think sheer lipsticks would be nice to use for ombre lips instead of the super matte ones. After all, you do have to blend the two colors together.

An announcement was also made at the end of the workshop with the new pricing of the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks. They are now priced at P1,000 :)

An office OOTD. I heavily rely on my gray le pliage and ballet flats.

Just a super quick selfie with CJ @manilawithlove and then we're off to explore the treasures inside!

Can you just look at those shades? Usually, when international brands come to the country, they only bring about 3 to 4 shades and 6 shades would already be a stretch. But for Shu Uemura, gosh I don't know how many shades they brought! Haha. I am loving it!

I've always wanted to try their Lightbulb liquid foundation. And for the busy gal out there, I think this Lightbulb Oleo-Pact Foundation just might be for you.

So picturesque.

Can I just have all please? :)

What shades am I eyeing? MLBB lipsticks PK 345, 355 and 365. And yas, you could pick these lipsticks up for PHP 1,000 each at Shu Uemura boutiques nearest you. Well in my case, Alabang Town Center at the new wing is the way to go.

Who knew tea, cookies and cake would be more fun inside a Shu Uemura boutique? Could they just make a cafe like this? My friends and I would definitely dine in, swatch makeup products and before picking up the tab, maybe add a lipstick or foundation on the bill.
