Celeteque Matte Lipstick

Celeteque Matte Lipstick Review

The pink madness didn't stop on October. Let's take it to November shall we? Here's one more post dedicated to hot pinks for the breast cancer awareness month. This is the Celeteque Matte Lipstick in the shade Cherry.

This lippie comes in a chubby stick packaging -- same minimalist packaging for the whole DermoCosmetics line. I personally don't like lip products that come in this packaging just because when I use lipsticks, I tend to apply it in a slanted way. And with chubby stick packagings, I just can't. Lip products in this packaging tends to be flat after some time... and I don't like that.

Excuse the pimple on the center of my face. I didn't want to edit it out because having acne is normal. Okay, let's get it on. Hot pink it is!

What's Celeteque's take on this? It has:
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) that moisturizes lips
  • Bisabolol that reduces flaking and restores supplements
  • Candelilla Was that nourishes

So of course, like's Celeteque's other products, it's a lipstick that gives back because it reduces flaking (which my lips often have) and restores supplements on the lips.

Application? I'm going to have to agree on the lipstick's description. It definitely glides on and it has no waxy feel. I don't like my lips feeling greasy. I'd rather have dry, chapped lips than have an uneasy feeling. Applying it is easy. No tugging needed. Quite pigmented too. Full color can be achieved in just one swipe. Longevity would be 4 hours with no dry feeling. For a matte lipstick that doesn't feel dry at four hours, they're doing an awesome job. But when eating/drinking, you might want to apply it again especially if what you're eating is oily or else you'll end up with voila...lip liner outside your lips hehe. Last note, this product retails for PHP 595 at leading department stores and is available in two other colors: Pink and Peach.

Overall thoughts? The shade Cherry is a bright hot pink that's quite warm. It's definitely a scene stealer and I can see so many people liking this color. I think it's good for lighter skin tones but also for morenas. It evens look good with a yellowish skin tone like mine. This is a good everyday matte lipstick that doesn't make your lips feel dry/flaky and it brings back the plumpness of your lips.

I'm not fond of chubby sticks. It's not you Celeteque, it's me. I like your lipstick especially because it's matte. I like the texture and that my lips don't feel dry and flaky even if I'm wearing it for hours already. Color-wise, you definitely chose colors that are easy to use for everyday and a great starter. I might opt for the Peach shade since it may be more nude? Maybe you could add in a red? Red is essential. Coral? Orange? Mauve? Darks? I'm a dark lippie person. If I'm not wearing MLBB, I'm wearing darks or plums for sure. Good formula and good color but chubby sticks aren't for me. Plus, I think they're more expensive. I avoid them. Cherry is a color I'd reserve for rainy days. I like wearing hot pinks when it's gloomy outside.

  1. It's weird that I find it too dry and chalky. :-( It's the same with what I got from my bdj box.

    1. really? i've had drier flakier mattes than this. let's exchange. i want to try peach hahaha :P
