Review
I wasn't expecting this, but I really did find a true matching liquid foundation for me. As I've said before in my previous blogposts, I usually go a shade darker because my face is lighter than the rest of my body due to derma sessions. But upon using L'Oreal True Match Foundation, I actually didn't need to go a shade up or down. It was a perfect shade match. It also made things easier for me because I didn't need to mix two liquid foundations anymore. Does this means less lates at work? Ha! I wish!

I'm quite amazed with the formula. I noticed these little flecks of light mixed with the liquid. Are these the pigments? It seems like it helps the shade adjust with my skin tone matching me perfectly and making my skin look super smooth and photoshopped in real life. It looks air brushed in fact. The formula is uber easy to blend and a little goes a long way. Coverage-wise, it's pretty high too considering one layer gives me medium coverage and it's able to hide some of my redness and acne marks already. Two to three layers give full coverage.

I didn't bother swatching it because the color you see in the bottle is the same shade that you'll get. I actually like the fact that it's see-through. I can know when I'm running out. I also like the pump and the glass bottle that it comes in.

Now, I can't have it all can I?

Sad to say, the L'Oreal True Match foundation cannot control my super oily skin. Yes, it provides amazing coverage and air brushed looking skin.., but after 3 to 4 hours, I notice it caking up around my laugh line and my eyes. It's just sad. It does work well with my Banila Co Prime Primer making it last longer with no caking, topped off with my Banila Co Prime Primer Finish Powder. This is not something I would wear during the summer. BUT hey, when I wore this around the colder months, I did see a big difference. It was able to last the whole day and there were days where I didn't even need to put primer or to touch up at the end of the day.

I guess weather really does play a big role when it comes to beauty and our makeup products. I loved everything about this foundation - the perfect shade match, the way it looks like second skin, the coverage. But it's just not something I would use for a whole day at work unless it's the rainy or cold months in the country. So, I'm saving the L'Oreal True Match Foundation for the ber-months again.

Got this at Robinsons Department Store Festival Mall for PHP 520.
