Demure Mineral Makeup Foundation and Lipstick Review

I'm taking a breather today by using natural and organic makeup from Demure Cosmetics. Of course, who doesn't want products who can provide healthy skin without parabens, fillers or other harmful chemicals, right?

Demure Cosmetics Mineral Foundation
Our Mineral Foundation is made with 100 % pure crushed minerals from the earth. We do not make use of chemicals, dangerous preservatives, dyes, or fragrance. Our foundation is extremely light, yet provides excellent coverage as well as being water resistant. You can apply a thin layer for a healthy natural look or apply extra layers for greater coverage. We have actually included a high portion of zinc to our foundations for its soothing and natural sun-protecting advantages.

Our products are not tested on animals and we do not make use of nano or micronized particles.

MOTD: I'm using two mineral foundations from Demure Cosmetics. The light warm shade for the T-zone and the medium warm shade for the rest of my face. I'm also using their mineral lipstick in 506 Cappuccino. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate for the brows. Contour would be Sooper Beaute contour kit

Review
True enough with the description, this foundation is definitely lightweight. Whenever I use this, I don't feel like I'm wearing any makeup at all.

Texture-wise, the powder isn't the "finest" of mineral powder foundations that I've seen in the market. I've always applied this by putting some powder on the cap, and applying it with their kabuki brush. But somehow, I feel like either the powder isn't that fine, or the brush just wasn't picking up a lot of product -- either of the two. When it comes to coverage, it's definitely given me light to medium coverage with just two layers. It was able to hide some of my red blemishes providing me with an even base without the heavy feeling.

And for people with oily skin, like me, this will be your best friend when it comes to oil control. I loved how my face didn't look oily nor dewy after wearing this for six hours. Amazing oil control, I promise. And hey, it doesn't really transfer too much unlike other brands too. I blotted with tissue on hour six, and there was barely any color on it, just oil. Hmmm... is this because it's water resistant? Not sure, but I'm impressed.

Overall thoughts, it's a good mineral foundation for people with sensitive, acne-prone, and oily skin like me. It's lightweight and yet, it offers you coverage. It has amazing oil control and I didn't get any breakouts or allergies upon using this foundation. It comes in a variety of shades and it also doesn't have any annoying smell. Plus, you already know it's natural right? It doesn't have chemicals, preservatives or other skin irritants. Truly something to try if you're on the lookout for mineral foundation!

Review
I love the lipstick packaging. It feels heavy and high end. It reminded me so much of NARS lipsticks, but I actually like this one better. It's not matte like that of NARS, so I don't have to worry about my powder products sticking on it. It's really easy to clean. It also has a close-lock feel which I always look for in lipsticks, so plus points to Gryffindor for that.

The shade Capuccino looks very intimidating in the tube. I was expecting it would look 90's outdated grunge on me, but it looked more 2016 Kylie Jenner-ish. I love it and I feel like this shade would suit a lot of skin tones since brown lipsticks are still in. The lipstick color is buildable and very pigmented. You can wear it like a tint by just dabbing some on your lips, and you can also layer it and just go as dark as you want.

The lipstick was very creamy, hydrating, and moisturizing. But as expected, it also transferred a lot to cups and straws. It does fade gracefully with about a three to four hour wear. This was made with natural mineral ingredients just like the foundation, and no parabens or preservatives were used. If you're more into matte lipsticks, Demure's got you covered. They also have mineral matte liquid lipsticks, lip liners, lip gloss... they actually have a whole line of natural makeup from eyeshadows to concealers to mascaras. I'm amazed with how big their makeup line is.
