VMV Hypoallergenics Armada Sport 70 Review

The best SPF for sensitive skin.

Since I'll be going to the cemetery again this weekend, (if you're not up to date on why, you can read this) I thought I'd share with you my go-to SPF whenever I really need extreme sun protection.

VMV Hypoallergenics Armada SPF 70
Extreme protection for extreme outdoor conditions. Ultra lightweight. Very Water Resistant. Use this if you spend lots of time outdoors, and want a very lightweight, high performance cream. Impressive PFAs are combined with SPFs as high as 70-90 to effectively screen out UVA and UVB rays for active protection against sun-induced skin cancer, photoaging and hyperpigmentation.

This defensive-line formula creates a unique "barrier-film," an invisible virtual "second skin," that stays on skin's surface to maintain protection integrity in and out of water, and while exposed to harsh sun and heat. Soft, skin-coating silicones give this barrier-film an exceptionally smooth glide and keep it light, so skin stays comfortable.

To Use:
Shake well before use. Apply liberally on face and body skin, carefully avoiding membranous areas of eyes and nostrils. For best results, apply 30 to 60 minutes prior to sun exposure, especially before highly active sports. When outdoors, reapply at least every 1 to 2 hours, after swimming or sweating and after towel drying.

Notes:
UV exposure from the sun increases the risk of skin cancer, premature skin aging and other skin damage. It is important to decrease UV exposure by limiting time in the sun, wearing protective clothing, and using a sunscreen.

UV rays from the sun are made of UVB + UVA. It is important to protect against both UVB + UVA rays to prevent sunburn and other skin damage.

Practice sun avoidance - particularly for children and the photosensitive, and especially between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. (10:00-14:00) - as much as possible.

Before using any product, test a tiny amount of it on skin (we omit allergens, but you may be sensitive to an ingredient that isn't an allergen).

Introduce new products one at a time, with at least 3 days in between to make sure you are not allergic.

Do not store in extreme temperatures or in direct sunlight. Do not (re)introduce removed portions of product, water or other substances into product.

Review
It comes in a squeeze tube bottle with complete description, claims, ingredients, and directions. Yes, all of that text fit in this tiny little bottle. Lol. When it comes to performance though, this product will never ever disappoint you. I've had numerous occasions wherein my sisters got super sun burnt going to the cemetery just because they didn't use this SPF, unlike me. This is water resistant, sweat proof, it doesn't have any strong scent, it applies evenly on skin, and it isn't heavy nor sticky. No rashes, no acne, no sun burn experienced whenever I'm using this.

I love it, however, this is not an everyday product that I can incorporate to my routine. I'm used to using my Biore UV Perfect Bright which offers SPF 40. It gives off a matte finish, so when I first tried using this VMV Armada, I was in shock on how I looked like a grease ball. It does set on skin though after a long time... but yeah, it's still going to make me late for work, so I'm reserving it for specific days.

Final verdict? VMV Hypoallergenics Armada Sport is great for people with sensitive skin and people who really need extreme sun protection. I'd definitely recommend this to my adventurous friends who are always at the beach, climbing mountains, or even taking their bike up Tagaytay. I wish I knew about this product while I was playing football in UST. It could've saved me from so much pain. Lol. Unfortunately, this product is super expensive but super worth it if you need the protection. I only got a sample size when I attended SM Lipstick Festival, but 3 oz (85g) is worth PHP 1780.
