Careline Lip Gloss Review and Swatches

Top to bottom would be shade #12 all the way to shade #1.

All this time, I hated lip gloss. Your hair sticks to it, it has an icky-gooey-heavy feeling, and the part I really hate the most is when it looks like you're eating solid goo when your top lip and bottom lip touches. Parang namumuo, ganun! It's super embarrassing when that happened to me years ago. I swore then and there I would never use lip gloss again!

But I broke that promise this 2016, and one of the reasons is these Careline Lip Glosses. These lip glosses feel really bouncy! Haha. Can I even use that word? :) But promise, I feel like that's the best way to describe it whenever I put the applicator back into the tube.

First of all, did you notice that the packaging is different? That's because the other lip glosses are called Extra Shine Lip Glosses. So yes, Careline has two types of lip glosses. (Don't worry, I didn't know that before too. Haha. I just noticed and wondered why the packaging was different when I was swatching them. Lol.)

Also, for the packaging -- I mentioned that the formula was bouncy right? So like a kid, I played with the applicator and what happened was the stopper actually kinda got broken. I was super sad because it was the shade #4 which was like a rose gold shade. So I closed the tube and after like 5 minutes, I opened it again and the stopper was working perfectly! I felt it was like magic! Haha. So yeah, guys, don't play with the bouncy formula, the applicator, and the stopper.

Formula actually feels light on the lips and it doesn't feel greasy at all. It's also moisturizes my lips even when the lip gloss tint is gone. Some of the shades have super fine glitter and the others are really more of a colored gloss. For pigmentation, I was kinda sad that shade #12 and #3 didn't have any tint to it, but I was surprised with the other shade colors like #1. Shade #1 is a super pigmented pink gloss. Shade #2 is more orange, while shade #4 is rose gold. The other shades hint more red than the others, there's also a coral, a mauve -- it just varies with some being shinier because of the fine glitters.

Most of the time, I know lip glosses are applied on top of lipsticks to add more oomph for thinner lips. But personally, I think these Careline lip glosses can be used alone, especially the Extra Shine Lip Glosses. They're pigmented, moisturizing, and the formula is quite nice. Ohh, and I also love the doe foot applicator because it allows precise application. The best thing about these lip glosses is they don't feel greasy on the lips. They never felt heavy, nor did they feel like they're all over the place when I'm eating. Never siyang kumalat sa outer lips while I'm having a meal.

Overall, I'm impressed with these Careline Lip Glosses. I've only liked two lip glosses in my lifetime, one being the Tanya Burr lip glosses and the other one is these ones from Careline. Yes, I'm very picky when it comes to lip balms and lip glosses. I promise these are worth a try and go swatch them when you're at the store. Tell me if you notice the bouncy-jelly feeling that I'm talking about :)

What are the shades that caught my attention? Shade #1 because it's a super pigmented pink; shade #4 which is a rose gold; and shade #6 which is a beautiful metallic red.

It's also super affordable at only PHP 85 a pop, and you can purchase this at all your leading department stores.
