Sooper Beaute So Matte Lipstick Review and Swatches

It's time to take a step back and put that liquid lipstick down!

I'm going back to the basics because lately, all I've been using are liquid lipsticks. I mean why not? They're uber long-wearing. They're great for work because you don't have to re-apply when you eat, drink et cetera -- I can give you 10 more points on why liquid lipsticks are great. The addiction is real.

But no, I have to stop using them on an everyday basis because... moisturizing lipsticks can be long-wearing too!

And drum roll please... I've rediscovered my love for these So Matte Lipsticks from Sooper Beaute :)

Description
A lipstick that leaves matte but moisturized lips in every application.
Score pretty lips with wearable hues infused with shea butter and vitamin E.

Shades: Pink Promise, I Like to Mauve It, Berry Exotic, Orange You Gorgeous & Reddy for You

I only have two shades with me, Berry Exotic and Orange You Gorgeous.

Sooper Beaute Orange You Gorgeous

Sooper Beaute Berry Exotic

I've used these lipsticks a few months ago -- before the whole liquid lipstick addiction happened. I was impressed with them then, and I'm still impressed with them now!

First of all, packaging is super cute. They come in square golden bullets with a pink cap, and the shade names are quite witty. I would love to get my hands on the shade I Like to Mauve It. Why? Because aside from MLBB lipsticks being my jam, I'm also a fan of Madagascar. I want to sing "I like to move it, move it!" while wearing the Sooper Beaute I Like to Mauve It lipstick. Wouldn't that be fun? Lol. I apologize for being too distracted!

For the texture and formula of these lippies, I find that both of them are creamy mattes and that Berry Exotic applies smoother than Orange You Gorgeous on the lips. They're both very pigmented and super moisturizing too... so that shea butter in the ingredients really paid off on these lipsticks! Oh, have I mentioned that they smell amazing? Sugar, spice, and everything nice -- kind of like desserts.

For the longevity, I found that Berry Exotic stays longer on the lips compared to Orange You Gorgeous. I really don't need to re-apply Berry Exotic throughout the whole work day because it just kind of stains my lips.

Overall thoughts? These creamy matte lipsticks are very pigmented, long-wearing, and they're quite moisturizing and hydrating all at the same time. They glide on the lips and smell super amazing. They're really, really great lipsticks.

Any cons? The only thing I could think of was that they feel soft, so I have to be really careful with application. My So Matte Norma (click here) already broke, and it's just super sad. I really loved that shade but I don't use it anymore. Oh, I've also tried fixing it but sadly, it broke again. I really don't want to bring a lip brush anymore at work, so yes, So Matte Norma has to stay at home. Lol.

Do note that this is a creamy matte lipstick, so don't be surprised when you see color transfer on your glass or your utensils. The good news is they can survive your heavy meal and they leave a stain on your lips, so you don't have to worry about that lip-liner only look.

I've gone bored with my nude lipsticks, and I'm going back to my first lipstick loves: the berries, plums, purples, that whole shade range. I gotta say, Berry Exotic is a must have if you're into those colors too.

If you're a Southie like me, Sooper Beaute is available at Alabang Town Center and SM Southmall. They're also available at Beauty MNL if you want to get them online. You can check out @sooperbeaute on Instagram for more of their branches.
