Maybelline V-Face Contour Duo Stick, Powder and Blush Review

Anybody looking for an everyday contour product? Because I think I just found the perfect one!

Hi loves! I'm still not in the loop of blogging again, but hey, I'm trying here. Hopefully this week won't be a week of super OT again. Crossing my fingers!

But anyway, while I wasn't blogging, I was surely testing products out and these gorgeous products are included! Lately, I've been loving the Maybelline V-Face Contour Duo Stick, that I even took selfies while trying them. I'm not a big fan of selfies, but I just wanted to show you guys these products in action!

If you want to know more about Maybelline's V-Face Contour line and also for product descriptions and how-tos, click here

First off, I wanted to show you the swatches.
L-R: V-Face Duo Powder, Contour Duo Stick, and Blush Contour.

I'm just trying out the highlight and contour face map. This face map seems to be the easiest guideline for contouring a round face like mine. #EasyContouring. Look, I haven't even blended, but it looks like I already achieved the #InstantSharperNose in just 3 seconds! Lol.

Maybelline V-Face Duo Stick Review
I love it! This is uber easy to use. Just follow the contour map on where to put the contour/highlight, blend, and you're done. The highlighter gives off a natural champagne highlight and the contour is a warm brown.

This product looks super natural, blends easily whether you're using your fingers or a brush, plus it really did make my face look thinner as it promised. This is a really, really great contour/highlight product and it's very travel friendly. It may seem small, but you really don't need much since it's quite pigmented. I promise you that this is super easy to use and not once did I ever experience a breakout while testing this product out. Two thumbs up from me! :)

P.S. This comes in three shades being light, medium, and dark. I believe what I'm using is the shade dark and I'm NC 37 - NC 40, so I don't know how this would work for deeper skin tones. I hope they make more shades though, since I'm really loving this product right now.

Maybelline V-Face Duo Powder Review
After I blended the Duo Stick on my face, I set it off using this powder. I tried applying the lighter shade for the highlight, and the darker shade for the contour. I also mixed the two colors and applied it all over the face.

The lighter shade isn't shimmery as I expected, but it did look radiant when I applied it over my skin. The darker shade was matte but it wasn't flat. I tried to contour using this powder but it was almost a match to my skin color, so it didn't really work out. This powder looks very natural, and it didn't look cakey at all. It's feels super light and there's no annoying smell. As for oil control, I'm going to have to go with 4 hours.

This comes in two shades light/medium and medium/dark. I'm already using the medium/dark powder, so I don't know if this would show up on deeper skin tones. This powder comes with a good-sized mirror and also a small brush.

Maybelline V-Face Duo Blush Contour Review
Ah yes, it's time for the blush! This is the first time I'm using a blush in a very long time, and I've totally forgotten how much I love blushes.

The blush has three colors in the pan, a light pink, a dark wine, and a brown for contour. I think it would be better if you contoured using this blush rather than with the V-Face Duo Powder since the brown here is warmer and deeper. I also think you can also use the lighter pink shade in this blush as highlighter. If you don't want to contour at all, no biggie, just swirl the three colors together and it makes a warm wine color on the cheeks.

This V-Face Duo Blush Contour comes in five shades: wine, red, pink, peach and brown. I have the shade wine. This blush is very pigmented and the swatches above really didn't do much justice. It applies very smoothly and it lasts long on my oily skin.

P.S. If you're thinking about using the brown contour shade here solo, then you better have a small brush.

And that's the final look! I really think that using these products made my face look slimmer. Was I able to achieve a V-Face? Hmm... I think if I angled my round face more to the side, then it's definitely a yes! Haha. I also got an #InstantSharperNose thanks to the power of Maybelline's #EasyContouring. I love, love the V-Face Duo Stick just because it's super easy to use and mind you, I didn't experience any breakouts while using any of these products, so they get a thumbs up from me :)

These are now available at your Maybelline counters nationwide, Lazada, Zalora, Calyxta, and BeautyMNL.

Let me know if you've tried them! :)
