Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me in My First Time Review and Swatch

This is my first ever product from Happy Skin and what better way to test the waters out than getting a red lipstick, right? Lol. Well, the basics is that they're a Filipino brand made by Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo and that they're "makeup that cares for your skin."

A few of my officemates have been using Happy Skin products and finally, I decided to test them out. I would've opted for the more popular MLBB colors that Happy Skin offers, but let's go all in with a red lipstick called My First Time.

According to Happy Skin, this lippie offers a three-fold "lip service": the shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and hydration of a balm! Spoil yourself with Shea Butter & Collagen to keep your lips in lip-lockin' shape!

Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me
Whether torrid or tame, your lips will say it all! This Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie is sure to help you make that smackin' statement. This lip-loving moisture stick is loaded with Shea Butter and Collagen to get fans to line up for a taste of those supple, hydrated, and ultra-kissable lips. High-pigmented, and moisture-packed, this lippie glides on irresistibly smooth (without the stickiness!) and leaves behind a rich, creamy pout that's way tempting to kiss.

Okay, so packaging-wise, the design is very cute and it comes in a lip crayon tube. I'm not really a fan of lip crayons and sad to say, all their lipsticks come in this form. Bummer right? It's just me. I just prefer the normal looking lipstick bullets :)

As for the lip product itself, I would say it's 100% accurate with the description. It applies quite thick and it's very, very pigmented. It moisturizes my lips all day long even if the color's already faded, and it also has a shine--but no shimmers or glitters. So yes, it has the shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and hydration of a balm.

As for longevity, we all know that moisturizing lipsticks tend to transfer and fade faster than mattes, and the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me is no exception to that. After eating lunch, I noticed that the color already faded in the inner part of the lips and it kind of looked more like a stain. I decided that I was going to test the moisturizing properties, so I didn't reapply and took it all off using tissue. Good news, it's easy to remove. And more good news, because of the Shea Butter & Collagen in this lipstick, it definitely kept my lips supple and moisturized all throughout the day. On other days, it can last up to 4 hours... it just depends on what I'm going to munch on.

Overall, this is definitely a 3-in-1 product. It's a balm, a lipstick and a gloss all rolled into one. Very pigmented, it feels great on the lips, and even if I take it all off, I can still feel the moisture. Longevity would of course depend on what you're going to eat/drink. So, if you always have dry lips and if you're a fan of moisturizing lipsticks, this is a must have for you. And hey, you should go for their very popular MLBBs. I believe they're the bestsellers!:)
