Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips in Echo Park, Magic Wand and Frick n Frack Review and Swatches

Colourpop is earning a special place in every lipstick addict's heart--oh, and every makeup lover's heart too. If you haven't tried them, you definitely should because the hype is real!

I've really become fond of their brand. Not only do they produce great quality products, they also offer affordable prices. Sometimes, they offer sales or even bundles and kits and ugh, yes, my love for them is really growing.

Now, I've loved the Colourpop Lippie Stixs in Lumiere, LBB and Bichette and also their Ultra Matte Lips in Solow and Bumble. I'm not much of an eyeshadow girl, so I've skipped those. But I have tried their Super Shock Cheek blush in Quarters, and I've been using that a lot too. So, do you think they've done it again with their Ultra Satin Lips? We'll see...

I have with me the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips in the shades Echo Park, Magic Wand and Frick n Frack. All can be purchased from @colourpopph on Instagram.

The Ultra Satin Lips have the same packaging as the Ultra Matte Lips. It also comes with a doe-foot applicator and the formula is easy to apply on the lips.

Magic Wand - a light nude.

This is the perfect nude for me. I've found just a few nudes that I like and this one is on top of the list. This doesn't wash me out unlike the LA Splash Lip Couture in Innocent Vixen. I can see this shade working for a lot of skin tones--but maybe not for the very fair ones.

Echo Park - a warm peachy nude.

I find myself really drawn to this shade. It's not quite a mauve, but it can definitely pass as a MLBB shade for me. It doesn't really hint mauve or pink, really more peachy as the description suggests, but with my pinkish lips, I guess it works as a MLLB shade. I love this shade and it's easily become one of my favorites and most worn lippies to work.

Frick n Frack - a rosy terracotta.

This shade is quite unique. Like, who would ever think of combining a rose shade with a terracotta? Nonetheless, it works, and it's beautiful. It's a little dark on me, but my officemates seem to love it as they've been complimenting it and asking what shade I've been wearing. This reminds me of the Ultra Matte Lips in Bumble--a shade I didn't know if I could pull of, but it's actually very wearable.

Review
Colourpop always offers us a wide range of shades and they think of the quirkiest colors to mix up. Still, their lipstick shades are very wearable and on point whether you're going for a walk in the park, going into a meeting with a power look on, or even when you just want a unique kind of color. Whatever that shade may be, there was indeed a lot of thought and research put into it.

I've already mentioned that the Ultra Satin Lips has the same packaging as the Ultra Matte Lips. Where do they differ? In formula.

Now, I find the texture of the Ultra Matte Lips to be just a little similar to Anastasia Beverly Hills (which is by far, the best matte liquid lipstick formula I've tried). And for these Ultra Satin Lips, their formula seems to be in the middle of being mousse-y and a little liquid-y. It's not too liquid though like a gloss. It's just something in between the two.

When I applied these on my lips, they're super pigmented that I immediately felt like I was applying the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips. These Ultra Satin Lips sit comfortably on the lips just like the matte ones, BUT without the drying powdery-matte part. It doesn't feel super moist like your average lipsticks, but they are super comfortable. It looks matte on the lips, almost no shine or gloss as other websites describe.

Now, you might be thinking that because it's not matte, it might not be long-lasting. Wrong! Considering how these lippies stay very comfortable on the lips, they are very, very long lasting. Yes, do expect that it will transfer when you eat and you'll definitely see color transfers on your glass when you drink, but still, these Ultra Satin Lips are very long-lasting. This isn't something that will stain your lips like Dose of Colors, and these lipsticks can be removed by tissue--so, I don't know. My mind is just blown away with how they can be so comfortable to wear and yet, they don't stain and won't give you a hard time when it's time to remove them.

Once again, Colourpop has done it again. They've managed to give us super pigmented long-lasting lipsticks with a satin finish that sits comfortably on the lips. They look matte when worn, but they're not drying at all. Yes, it transfers but they're still super long-lasting and you don't need to reapply asap. At the end of the day though, removing them isn't a hassle because you can just use tissue :) Love love love these Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips. No cons whatsoever.

You can get them from @colourpopph and I highly recommend Echo Park!
