Benefit Cosmetics It's Potent Eye Cream Review

I've been sliding shifts at work for a while. My work used to start at 6 a.m. and then it got earlier to 5 a.m. because of daylight savings time... and now I'm currently on the graveyard shift for 12 a.m. to 9 a.m. If that work schedule isn't responsible for my eye bags and crazy skin right now, then I don't know what it is.

I got this sample from my Benefit Cosmetics Advent Calendar and I know the full size retails for $34 in any Benefit store or even online.

Benefit Cosmetics It's Potent Eye Cream
Your eyes can't keep a secret...they're the first to show signs of age & stress. It's potent! eye cream fades dark circles & helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes. Contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity & firmness, a blend of hydrating botanical extracts and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage.

Okay, so "fades dark circles & helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes" big claims right?

Fades dark circles? I guess it really does help, BUT with my sleep cycle changing every time, I can't really attest to the real effectiveness of it. But let me say it again, I did find that it did help lighten my dark circles so I guess yeah, it's a check. Helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes? Err, well yeah... smoothing part, definitely a check for that too. It's very hydrating.

Actually, I apply this eye cream before I go to sleep and under makeup. Because why not? Haha. I'm going to be awake starting 12 a.m. I might as well put an eye cream under makeup right?

Do I like it? Yes. It definitely moisturizes my under eyes and it just feels so good. Okay? Again, it feels so darn good under your tired eyes. I also apply it with Benefit Ooh la lift and I do find that those products together brighten my under eye area (but hey, don't compare it to concealer. It just adds a little glow).

If you're on the graveyard shift like me and you're looking for an eye cream, then I think this would be your friend. If you're a fan of skin care products and specifically eye creams, then yes please put this on your list. Definitely a must try.

Consistency and formula-wise, it's not liquidy and not too creamy. It just adds the right amount of moisture for the under eye area. Be careful though because if you put too much, this product does sting a little.

Will I purchase the full sized product? Yes, because at some point I do know I have to invest in products specifically like this, but I'm just not in a hurry to buy it.
