NYX Adorable Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Something really cute and adorable!

I really like this palette. I like the plastic packaging which feels sturdy and can be brought for travel. I like that I can see what the shades are right off the bat. I like that the colors are natural and it isn't all matte shadows because somehow I feel that would be boring.

The two matte brown shades are super pigmented. I really love using it for my brows. I tend to dye my hair different shades of browns and I use these two shades to mix a perfect shade. I apply it using my Marionnaud N38 brush and it works wonders with the angled brush as well as the spoolie. I also love the lighter brown shade for crease color and the matte white for highlighting the brow bone and setting concealers on the brows.

The other two matte shades, pink and white are very smooth. I always use the white for the brow bone and it's probably the first shadow I'm going to hit pan on. The pink however applies sheer on my olive skin tone but it actually gives a pretty natural lid color. I guess those with lighter skin tones would love this pink shade since it will show up more. Both apply sheer but are buildable.

And as for the shimmer shades, the two middle ones, these shadows have glitter in them but just a little bit. Third shadow from the left applies sheer and you really have to build it up. It is also has a lot of fallout compared to the other shades. The fourth one from the left is more pigmented and applies quite as smooth as the mattes.

All in all, I think this is a good palette for school/work or even when you’re just starting to play with eye shadows. It has natural shades you need for day time wear and you can just smoke it out using the darker shadows. It’s very transitional, perfect for the unexpected Friday work-night-out kinda thing. This is also probably my most used eye shadow palette because of the two matte browns and the white.
