Rucy’s Vanity Pearl BB Cream, UV Suncream, Pearl Foundation

Rucy’s Vanity

As requested, here's my take on the Korean brand Rucy’s Vanity that I got from @beyondstylish.

Products come in this super cute tiny squeeze out tube. The packaging’s actually good because you can control how much product you want and it’s very travel friendly considering its size.

PA+++ means that these products contains ingredients that offers protection against UVA and UVB rays. The higher the + the better it is. SPF 50 on the sun cream and SPF 30 on the foundation and BB cream.

Rucys Vanity UV Sun Cream Review

Rucy’s Vanity UV Sun Cream Review
Sun cream is really, really handy. Seriously, who finishes those big bottles of sunblock for the face? And we all know that it would just be sitting on your shelves until the next time you go to the beach, which let’s say would be like 8 months from then.

This sun cream really is for the city chick or just the person on the go and would like some protection on their face. It has a mild scent and I actually like it. It doesn’t have glitters or shimmers and it doesn’t make your skin feel sticky or look a shade lighter like most sun creams do. It can also be a good base before putting foundation or BB cream.

I used this without concealer, powder, primer or any base at all and I was pretty impressed. The BB cream isn't of thick consistency compared to the Pearl Foundation. It’s also not runny and liquidy, consistency is think enough and just right for a BB cream. I used this with a stippling brush and it’s not really a bother to apply and spread on the face.

The coverage is very light and it didn’t even hide my blemishes nor evened out redness on my face. I think it barely covered anything at all unlike other BB creams do. One thing it did was that it made my skin look super luminous and dewy. It wasn’t glittery, but it had just a shine or glow which fakes lack of sleep in my opinion. It had about a nine-hour wear time and I didn’t really look like a grease ball at the end of the day. It looked dewy, not oily, so I give a thumbs up for oil control.

This sun cream is best for dull and clear skin since it just gives you a natural glow. Oh, by the way, don’t wear this on your whole face if there's going to be flash photography. The bigger shimmers still reflects. But if you’re wearing this in broad daylight, it won’t be a problem.

Rucys Vanity Pearl Foundation Review

Rucy’s Vanity Pearl Foundation
Just like the BB cream, this foundation has shimmers in it. At first, I thought that the BB cream had more shimmers, but when applied next to each other on my face, they just looked the same. The BB cream actually has more of a grey/pink undertone, compared to this Pearl Foundation which has more of a yellow undertone.

Another thing that I noticed is that the BB cream was easier to blend and spread out compared to this Pearl Foundation. I also used a stippling brush with this one but it just had a thicker consistency. I applied it using my fingers first but I just gave up and used a brush because I feel like I have a better chance of making it even. Coverage is very light, almost next to nothing. It didn’t cover any blemishes or evened out redness at all. Great oil control though. It made me look luminous and had a healthy glow. It has a mild scent and I actually like it.

If you have clear and dull skin, again, this is going to be your best friend. I felt like this had subtler shimmers compared to the BB cream. I won’t be using this as highlight like the Pearl BB Cream, but I’d be sure to mix this with other foundations.
