Revlon Colorstay Foundation First Impression

Happy Sunday beautiful!

Today I will be sharing with you my first impression about the Revlon colorstay foundation in the shade medium beige in combination/oily. Omg. The hype is real!!! Oil control is amazing.

I wore it yesterday and it coursed through the hot afternoon, air conditioned mall and also humid rainy night. Did I look like a grease ball? Heck no. I didn’t even have the need to powder my T-zone. Yes I looked dewy by hour 5 or 6 but nope, I can still go on 2 hours before I feel the need to powder up. And if I would powder, it would just be very lightly around the nose area. I wouldn’t even apply it on my forehead. Did I mention that I paired it with Rimmel Stay Matte? So yup, that's another great oil control product there. Combo of those products would probably make me look great for about 8, 9, 10 hours or more.

Application: I first applied it with Benefit’s stay flawless 15 hour primer and that was a fail. The primer just settles too quickly and I pretty much forgot how to use foundation without a pump so it was a hassle. I applied it using my Real Techniques buffing brush too and it just looked too heavy and I didn’t like the outcome.

So, I washed my face and had a second trial but this time I used different products.

I used the Maybelline baby skin primer because it really does make your skin feel smoother and yup, it works great with this foundation and application was so MUCH easier. I also found that using my ELF stippling brush rather than my Real Techniques buffing brush has a more natural finish. The foundation is already of thick consistency, offers medium coverage so you really don’t need a lot. Using a stippling brush just makes it look light which was what I was opting for.

Looking forward to using this with a sponge because I feel like it would be easier and have a great outcome? I don't know. I just feel it lol. I’ll let you know soon!

Me yesterday at about hour 6. Amazing oil control.
